The story of Gift of Love began over 10 years ago with five best friends who made a simple commitment—to come together once a year in January for lunch. What started as a tradition quickly became something much more meaningful. The purpose of the gathering was to dedicate one day each year to reconnect, celebrate friendship, and intentionally show love to one another.

Before each annual lunch, the friends would randomly select names for a gift exchange. There was only one rule: the gift had to be inexpensive but given from the heart. The thought, care, and love placed into each small gift made the moment special, and from that tradition the name “Gift of Love” was born. Each year, a different friend selected the location where the exchange would take place, making every gathering unique and memorable.

Over time, what began as a small tradition among friends began to inspire something bigger. Over the past 10 years, the Gift of Love Lunch has grown into a powerful women’s outreach that now brings together more than 300 women united by a shared mission of compassion and community.

Today, Gift of Love has expanded far beyond the lunch table. What once started as a heartfelt gift exchange has evolved into what is now the Gift of Love Nonprofit Organization. A 501c3 nonprofit charity organization dedicated to serving individuals and families in need. Through outreach efforts that provide food, clothing, and toys, the organization continues to spread the same spirit that started it all—simple acts of kindness that remind people they are seen, supported, and loved.

At its core, Gift of Love Nonprofit Organization remains rooted in the same idea that began among five friends: when love is shared freely, it has the power to grow and change lives.
