The group started five years ago with a group of 5 best friends. We came together once a year in January for lunch. The purpose of the lunch was for us to dedicate one day out of the year to come together and show love. Before the annual lunch, we randomly selected names for a gift exchange. The catch was that it had to be inexpensive and from the heart. That is how the name “Gift of Love” was born. Each year a different friend selected the location where the gift exchange would take place. Since then over the past 2 years, the Gift of Love lunch has grown into a women's outreach of over 300 women. The group has since then expanded to mobilize outreach to all individuals in need. What started as a gift exchange has grown into a nonprofit charity organization designed to help those in need. We give food, clothes, and toys to all people in need.
